About Ed3 DAO
Founded by teachers, Ed3 DAO (https://www.ed3dao.com/) is a 501(c)3 non profit organization aiming to upskill 1 million educators on emerging technologies through research-backed pedagogies.
Ed3 is moving toward this mission through three main areas of development:
- Online Coursework: Over 15,000 educators have taken our asynchronous, self-paced courses on AI. Each course uses student-centered pedagogy like Project Based Learning, Universal Design for Learning, Design Thinking, and more, to help educators use AI thoughtfully in the classroom.
- Global Community of Practice: Our global community is focused on democratizing access to resources and ideas about the use of emerging technologies in education. We offer free workshops and events around the world and micro-grants for community members to facilitate in-person peer-to-peer learning events.
- Research & Development: We pursue provocative ideas and research to help education move into the next frontier. Our latest initiative (as of 2025) is called the Portrait of a Teacher in the Age of AI where we are exploring the question: How does the role of the teacher change in a world transformed by AI?
